Right now, Stephen McDaniel is pleading guilty to the brutal killing of Lauren Giddings, a murder that has rocked my Law School family and has left me exposed to negative public scrutiny due to his falsehoods and shameful obfuscation (as well as the over-sensationalized journalism of Joe Kovac, Jr. and Amy Leigh Womack). This has been a measure of stress personally and professionally, for nearly 3 years.
It’s all over now, and since he’s admitting his guilt, I no longer will interfere with justice to speak openly about the ordeal. Being wrongfully accused by this young man of his heinous acts is something that hurt me to the core. I overcame it, because I knew justice would eventually prevail.
I never knew her that well, and never knew him that well, so all I can say besides what has been said is I’m glad that he’ll spend the rest of his life behind bars.
