Immediately following reports that Congress will be out until the conclusion of the midterm elections, Attorney General Eric Holder announced today that he has resigned from the office. Giving credence to my allegations that the Executive Branch has played the Legislative Branch like a fiddle. Now, he can appoint an Attorney General by recess appointment, which is a fantastic position to be in considering the obstructionism that they have faced.
Mr. Holder held that office for the fourth longest amount of time in U.S. History, so it was probably his time to depart anyway. However, this comes only a few months after his office insisted that he was not going to resign.
