Holder – Gay Couples Get Federal Benefits in 7 More States

david October 17, 2014

n_cycle_holder_140123.video_560x315One of my favorite guys to troll on the internet, Cain Train “Shucky Ducky” Herman Cain, wrote on his blog a few weeks ago that the Supreme Court declining to hear 7 States’ appeals challenging the overturning of their gay  marriage ban was “not that big a deal.”

Wrong again, Herman!

Turns out, that the current, although not for long, Attorney General Eric Holder announced today that gay couples in those seven states will now be eligible for federal benefits associated with their marriage rights.

This is not that remarkable of a statement, given the ruling on DOMA and the increasing belief that the standard of review is irrelevant, the government will always lose when it comes to the public policy considerations behind banning gay marriage.

So, revel in your wrongness, Cain Train. This is why you should stick to making pizzas instead of analyzing the law.
