How the Death Penalty Works in Georgia | Dorer Daily, Talking Law

Photo May 24, 1 09 58 PMToday Christopher Calmer, the murderer of Monroe County, Georgia Deputies Michael Norris and Jeff Wilson, was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. This was after he was found guilty, of course, but it was in declination of imposing the death penalty.
 
On today’s joint episode of the Dorer Daily and Talking Law with David Dorer, I discuss with esteemed Middle-Georgia criminal defense attorney Frank Hogue what this means, how this sort of thing is decided, and how the death penalty process works in Georgia.
