Listen Live at 6PM TODAY! CALL IN 478-227-3879! Last week was the holidays, so this week we have to deliver the goods!
My panel this week is T-Bone (@tboneafterdark), Mr. Bunker (@rsbunker), and Jimbo (@raginkurhajian).
Unfortunately, there isn’t really a way to tie this week’s top news stories together in one succinct theme; therefore, I played a little version of Wheel of Fortune’s before and after (note: I don’t watch Wheel of Fortune. I have been, and always will be a jeopardy man, but before and after isn’t ever a category! Damn you, Trebek!)
First, we’ll discuss the stolen, but recovered (empty), radioactive material in Mexico, and what this issue means for American national security.
Next, we will discuss the “freedom of religion of a corporation argument” of Hobby Lobby, which the United States Supreme Court agreed to hear, that aims to challenge the employer mandate to contribute to plans that have contraceptive coverage for employees on the grounds of the religious objections of a secular, for profit, company.
Lastly, we will discuss the life, legacy, and controversy (both old, and revitalized as of late) of Nelson Mandela, in honor of his death.
